Location: Tokyo, Japan (Hybrid – 3 days in office per week)
The Basics:
As the Field Marketing Manager for Japan, you will be responsible for driving demand generation and pipeline acceleration through integrated marketing campaigns, digital programs, and events. You will align closely with the sales team, regional leadership, and global marketing functions to develop and execute marketing strategies that deliver measurable business impact. This role requires a data-driven, results-oriented marketer with expertise in B2B technology marketing, deep knowledge of the Japanese market, and the ability to manage multiple projects under pressure.
What you’ll do:
Demand Generation & Pipeline Acceleration
- Design and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns (events, digital, social media, ABM, and telemarketing) to drive high-quality pipeline and revenue growth.
- Own the end-to-end event strategy, including industry conferences, trade shows, partner events, and customer roundtables, ensuring alignment with sales objectives.
- Drive digital marketing initiatives (SEO, SEM, paid media, email marketing, and social campaigns) to generate MQLs and support pipeline creation.
- Leverage marketing automation and CRM tools (e.g., Marketo, Salesforce) to track and optimize campaign effectiveness.
Sales Alignment & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with the Japan Sales team to understand business priorities and develop tailored marketing programs that support revenue goals and pipeline creation
- Work closely with global and regional marketing teams to ensure local execution aligns with corporate branding and messaging.
- Develop account-based marketing (ABM) strategies to engage key enterprise accounts
- Develop channel marketing programs that create pipeline in mid-market accounts
- Focus on creating high quality opportunities that convert to sales not just MQLs/leads
Market Insights & Performance Analysis
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify customer pain points and trends, translating insights into actionable marketing initiatives.
- Track, analyze, and report marketing performance metrics, ensuring data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Manage budget allocation and ROI analysis to optimize marketing spend.
We’re looking for someone with:
- Bilingual Proficiency: Fluent in Japanese and English (spoken and written).
- 7-8 years of experience in B2B marketing within the technology sector (preferably SaaS, cybersecurity, enterprise software, or cloud solutions).
- Proven experience in demand generation across digital, events, telemarketing, and ABM.
- Strong track record of managing end-to-end field marketing campaigns that directly contribute to pipeline and revenue.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence senior stakeholders.
- Experience with marketing automation and CRM tools (Marketo, Salesforce, or similar platforms).
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to measure and optimize marketing performance.
