As the Staff Product Manager for the Domains Search team, you will lead the development of next-generation domain name generation and ranking algorithms for Squarespace Domains. By leveraging ML, LLMs and customer data, you’ll deliver more relevant and personalized search results. You will collaborate closely with Engineering, Growth, Data Science, Design, and Registries to launch ML and LLM-powered features, integrate premium marketplace inventory, and build reusable components that enhance domain discovery across our platform. Your success will be measured by impact on metrics such as conversion rate, average sale price, suggestion quality, and customer lifetime value.

This senior individual-contributor role reports to the VP of Product and can be based in our NYC headquarters or remote within the U.S.

You'll Get To...

  • Own the product vision and roadmap for the Domain Search platform, from query to add-to-cart, aligning it with Domains growth and broader company goals.
  • Drive ML-powered ranking and personalization to surface high-quality, contextual, and brandable search results; define and track core metrics such as conversion, add-to-cart rate, ASP, result quality, and mix shift.
  • Integrate LLMs and hybrid in-house models to support contextual search results and style-guided name suggestions with internationalization in mind.
  • Enable premium domain marketplace integration and premium-ranking improvements to expand selection and increase perceived value.
  • Build and scale core infrastructure, including reusable APIs and services (e.g. availability checks, validations, zone file caching) to power domain discovery across multiple Squarespace products.
  • Partner with Growth and Design on the search UX, including sorting, filtering, save/shortlist, and with improving decisioning confidence (“reasons to believe”).
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering Management, Staff Engineers, Data Science, and Registry Operations to plan releases, mitigate risk, and ensure operational excellence and security.
  • Establish a rigorous experimentation and feedback loop: instrument behavioral analytics, run A/B tests, and use purchase and click feedback to drive continuous improvements.
  • Monitor the competitive landscape and vendor ecosystem to inform and identify opportunities.
  • Communicate strategy, progress, and outcomes to executives and cross-functional partners.
