Squarespace is looking for a Security Engineering Manager for our Detection and Incident Response (DIR) function.

In this role, you'll lead a team of detection and incident response security engineers and deliver business value through implementing detection capabilities which give us critical visibility into the activity within our environment while simultaneously protecting both our customers and corporate environment.

The Squarespace Security Team safeguards the systems, services and processes that support the ideas and businesses of our global customers, as well as our employees and partners.

You will report to the Director of Security and be based in our NYC Office (hybrid).

Responsibilities

  • Mentor and grow a distributed team of security engineers and analysts
  • Establish individual and team goals, and empower your team to deliver on those goals
  • Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the team's ability to meet strategic and technical goals
  • Own the planning and delivery of technical security solutions to ultimately reduce risk for Squarespace
  • Develop and report performance metrics that demonstrate business impact and risk reduction
  • Act as incident commander and lead security incident response efforts, cross functionally, as we experience these types of situations
  • Be a key contributor to Squarespace's security roadmap, product roadmap, and overall planning for the engineering organization.
  • Engage with stakeholders across all departments to ensure that business needs are understood and met

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience managing a technical team
  • Deep experience in SIEM and SOAR technologies
  • Experience working with partners throughout the business (engineering, product, legal, customer operations, and trust and safety)
  • Degree in computer science, physics or mathematics

Cash Compensation Range: $185,500 - $299,000 USD

The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant skills, experience, and location, among other factors.

In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include on-target commissions or overtime pay), Squarespace employees are eligible to receive an incentive award as part of their total compensation.
