SUPERVISOR, HOSPITALITY (FOOD SERVICES)
The Cape Hospitality team serves all employees, customers, government partners, potential clients and/or visitors with everything from snacks to daily meals to full-service events. As the Supervisor, Hospitality, you will support the direction and management of the organization’s food/beverage operations and customer service activities. You will help develop and implement effective customer service strategies and training programs. Duties will include but are not limited to; coordinating service operations, monitoring and motivating staff, ensuring excellent customer service, engaging with customers, hiring and developing talent, ensuring the team is current with all mandatory company trainings, scheduling and payroll, interviewing, hiring and onboarding of new staff, setting and upholding customer service principles. The Supervisor, Hospitality, will support the mission by providing a foundation of understanding for excellent customer service and quality food/beverage options that boost morale and productivity within SpaceX.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Set and enforces standards for hospitality operations
Organize, coordinate and assist with catering/event requests
Manage and monitor product quality, consistency and service, and address issues accordingly
Maintain clean and safe workstations throughout operation
Oversee menu accuracy in multiple service formats and locations
Train staff in customer service, allergen and nutritional awareness
Enforce proper food safety practices with staff
Coordinate and enhance time management for team
Monitor financial activities for hospitality operations
Create and maintain in person and online training materials
Document and share performance feedback of hospitality staff
Oversee proper inventory levels for all team products
Communicate directly with vendors for order placement or any subsequent issues with deliveries or product quality
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalency certificate
5+ years of leadership experience within the food service industry
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
2+ years of restaurant general manager experience
Experience opening new operations and/or creating operational procedures from the ground up
Previous bartending experience
Experience in fine dining, casual and quick service restaurants
Advanced knowledge of customer service and safe kitchen operations
Advanced knowledge of beverage services including beer, wine, spirits
Experience with Microsoft office and outlook
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Advanced knowledge of food profession principles and practices
Customer service or guest interaction experience
Adaptability, problem-solving skills, and extreme attention to detail
Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively
Excellent knowledge of food service systems, ordering and inventory
Experience in corporate environments
Proficient knowledge of human resources management
Ability to organize work for large groups in various service formats
Strong time management skills
Experience leading groups in large team settings of 10 or more staff members
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to pass Air Force background check for Cape Canaveral
Ability to carry large items unassisted (up to 25lbs)
Ability to perform frequent bending, stooping, and lifting of objects
Ability to stand for long periods of time – up to 10 hours a day
Ability to work all shifts and available for overtime, weekends and holidays as needed
Must participate in internal leadership and development training
Valid Florida Food Manager Certificate or willingness to obtain before employment
