SMX is looking for a highly motivated Senior Data Analyst in support of Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) in Dahlgren, VA. The Senior Data Analyst will have extensive experience in data analysis, data warehousing, integration capabilities, and business intelligence strategies, providing technical guidance and leading data analysis projects to enhance operational decision-making.
This position will be hybrid with the onsite work location in Dahlgren, VA.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Analyze and interpret large datasets
Define data requirements
Develop logical data models
Ensure seamless data integration for enterprise systems and financial processes
Conduct comprehensive data analysis to support strategic decision-making for the customer
Develop and implement data warehousing and integration solutions, ensuring optimal data retrieval and performance
Define and develop requirements for data structures, loading specifications, and validation processes
Experience with scripting
Design and maintain logical data models, data interfaces, SQL queries, and performance tuning methodologies
Strong math and statistical experience
Support legacy data conversion and migration efforts to integrate new and existing systems
Provide technical guidance on Enterprise Resource Planning, Working Capital Fund, financial, and human resource system methods for data warehousing
Collaborate with stakeholders to refine and improve data governance, reporting, and analytics capabilities
Required Skills & Experience
Clearance Required: Secret
Must be able to obtain and maintain Top Secret
Six (6) years of professional experience in data analysis, design, and development for data warehousing and integration
Logical data models, data interface specifications, structured query language (SQL), and performance optimization
Data validation specifications and enterprise-level application design
Financial and human resource system integration strategies
Strong expertise in data warehouse development, legacy system conversion, and designing structured data load specifications
Knowledge of data security compliance, including DoD data policies and cybersecurity best practices
IAT III or higher certification (CASP+, CCNP Security, CCSP, CISSP, etc.)

$105,100—$175,100 USD
