SMX is seeking a Windows Application System Administrator. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing, documenting, and installing innovative application solutions to meet the evolving needs of our organization and its clients. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, creative problem-solving, and effective communication skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand application requirements and translate them into effective application solutions
Contribute in the design scalable and efficient solutions that align with industry best practices and standards.
Create/edit technical documentation for developed solutions, including system architecture, data flow diagrams, and user guides.
Communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Contribute to the installation and configuration of application solutions.
Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues, working closely with support teams and third-party vendors when necessary.
Provide hands-on support during the implementation phase to ensure successful deployment.
Collaborate with software developers, system architects, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with overall system architecture and strategic goals.
Participate in cross-functional team meetings to gather insights, share progress, and contribute to continuous improvement.
Conduct thorough testing of application solutions to identify and address any issues before deployment.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Required Skills:
Available to work onsite at Patuxent River NAS
The selected applicant must have DoD 8570/5239 IAT Level II Certification (Security + CE equivalent, or greater), and the ability to work independently and as part of a team in RDT&E environments.
An active DoD Secret clearance is required to start with ability to upgrade to Top Secret.
Desired Skills:
Familiarity with communicating technical concepts with stakeholders
Experience with Callware, Netplus, and Cisco products, and AWS.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Organizational and communication skills.
Testing and troubleshooting of application solutions, system architecture.
