Our solution provides them with an all-in-one platform to manage their practice and the tools and resources to thrive as a practitioner and business owner.

The Role

We’re seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager to own the strategy of critical foundational components of our platform that impact user identity, fraud prevention, compliance adherence and internal tool support. You will make a tremendous impact in ensuring that SimplePractice is a safe and secure platform for our clinicians and their clients. We expect you to balance the ability to deliver a seamless customer experience while also maintaining the security of our platform, merging the needs of both our internal and external customers. To succeed in this role, you should have a strong track record of driving a product roadmap to address fraud and identity needs, evaluating and integrating with vendors, translating complex technical concepts into clear requirements, leveraging data to inform decision making, and closely collaborating with internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Own the vision and roadmap for SimplePractice’s efforts across user authentication, roles & permissions, fraud prevention and internal tool support. You'll drive the why behind the product, defining the user experience, setting priorities, and charting the course to success.
  • Own the end-to-end user authentication experience from secure sign on to managing granular access permissions of different user roles
  • Identify emerging fraud threats and proactively develop solutions to safeguard against future threats and account takeovers
  • Partner with internal teams to support internal tooling needs
  • Evaluate and integrate third-party vendors and build custom in-house tools where necessary
  • Deeply understand customers (internal and external), their needs, and ensure products deliver exceptional value
  • Champion collaboration. You'll work closely with engineering, design, security + compliance, fraud, customer success, legal, marketing and other stakeholders to turn your vision into reality.
  • Stay current on fraud and identity trends, best practices, and technologies to inform product decisions
  • Roll up your sleeves and get things done. You're not afraid to dive into the details, experiment, and iterate quickly.
  • Closely monitor product performance through key metrics, analytics, and customer feedback. Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • 6+ years of experience in product management including at least 1-2 years of experience working on identity verification and fraud related products in a highly regulated industry
  • Ability to translate long-term vision into a coherent strategy for both executive audiences and technical working partners
  • Experience with authentication and authorization product features at scale such as SSO, MFA, passwordless login, and role/permission management
  • Experience designing and building risk management platforms that find the balance of loss prevention and customer experience.
  • Experience making build/buy/partner decisions. When partnering, experience evaluating technical vendors and collaborating with vendor teams to build integrated product solutions
  • Knowledge of systems, processes, tools and vendors related to identity verification, threat detection, payment transactions, operational procedures, and risk scoring
  • A proven track record of scaling and iterating on features based on user data and market insights.
  • Experience partnering with security + compliance, fraud, customer success, legal, marketing, and other teams to inform decisions
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to clearly communicate and present complicated topics to a range of audiences
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with extensive experience using data to inform decisions, measure impact, segment user populations, and prioritize initiatives
