Job Summary:

The Billing Specialist is an entry-level billing position within the Accounting department. This role is responsible for the accurate and timely entry, review and distribution of customer invoices. 

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Adding new customers’ records as they launch.
  • Updating billing records with contact information changes and product changes.
  • Research and respond to customer billing inquiries.
  • Process credit and debit adjustments.
  • Ensuring accurate monthly billing by reviewing upload reports.
  • Reviewing invoices prior to mailing and creating manual invoices when needed.
  • Updating reseller and referral partner monthly reports.
  • Escalating customer issues, other than billing, to the appropriate department.
  • Working closely with the Billing Manager to ensure successful customer experiences.
  • Performs other related duties, as assigned.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent customer service, able to defuse anger and come to a mutually beneficial conclusion.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or international equivalent.
  • 0 - 2 years of experience in customer service and/or billing preferred.
  • Experience with billing and/or CRM tools.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office especially MS Excel and Word.
