Strategic Accounts Manager (Biobanks/Population Studies)

The Role

The Strategic Accounts Manager is responsible for securing and managing new Seer customer accounts focused on large-scale population studies and biobanks.  This role is pivotal in driving the growth of our market presence within the population health sector, securing contractual agreements, and contributing to the design and execution of sales strategies and pricing. This role requires a deep understanding of the population health landscape globally. 

 

Responsibilities & Goals 

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to penetrate the population health market. 
  • Identify and target key decision-makers to secure new business opportunities. 
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align sales strategies with organizational goals and market demands. 
  • Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executives and decision-makers at target organizations. 
  • Oversee the process from prospecting to close. 
  • Collaborate with Commercial Leadership and other relevant departments to design effective sales strategies and pricing models tailored to the population health market. 
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, providing regular reports to the VP of Sales and senior management. 
  • Utilize data and market intelligence to adjust strategies and tactics to meet or exceed sales targets. 
  • Continuously evaluate and improve sales processes and strategies to increase efficiency and effectiveness. 
  • Collaborate with R&D to understand and effectively market the technological advantages of our solutions for large-scale population studies 
  • Collaborate with STAC groups and Seer centers of excellence in the US and Europe to establish novel solutions for operational execution of large customer studies. 
  • Collaborate with Legal to address any potential compliance issues promptly and effectively. 
  • Travel up to 75% of the time to meet with clients, attend industry events, and support business development activities. 

 

Background & Qualifications 

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic accounts sales 
  • Experience with biobank/populations studies is strongly desired 
  • Successful track record in growing revenue and market share 
  • Background in entrepreneurial, mission driven selling environments is essential. 
  • Significant experience in life science tools market, including the launch of novel products is preferred. 
  • Advanced knowledge of the life sciences marketplace, key trends, account segments and customer needs 
  • Advanced degree in sciences, PhD and/or MBA is desirable 
  • Experience in proteomics is strongly desired 
  • Exposure to mass spectrometry is strongly desired 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to establish positive cross-functional multi-level relationships 
  • Excellent, influential presentation skills with ability to present complex topics to external stakeholders 

 

At Seer, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range based on market data. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $140,000 and $160,000 and will depend on the candidates education, skills, qualifications, experience, and location. This position is also eligible for bonus, benefits, and participation in Company’s equity plan.
