The Role

The Sales Development Manager Asia Pacific at Seer is responsible for developing and implementing strategies and tactics that accelerate emergence of new markets for Seer products and services. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and developing the most attractive emerging market opportunities for Seer’s products, collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure optimal product, operational and commercial strategies necessary for successful penetration of these emerging opportunities. You will interface with key thought leaders and influencers to drive advocacy for Seer products and ensure clear understanding of market, legal, geographic, and regulatory requirements necessary for successful market entry. You will be asked to develop business strategy that focusses on strengths, competitive advantage and differentiation and leverage broad knowledge to address complex, unusual and critical issues. Reporting directly to the Associate Director of Sales Development Channel Partner Territory, you will be responsible for developing long-term plans that impact the achievement of business results to expand company revenue and increase profitability.

Responsibilities & Goals

  • Balance a thoughtful strategic country specific vision with the practical implementation and execution of cohesive plans across Asia Pacific
  • Develop relationships with KOLs that help Seer establish and demonstrate the scientific and economic case for adoption 
  • Establish strategic partnerships including potential distribution partners 
  • Identify innovative and competitive solutions to customers challenges
  • Execute strategies and campaigns to target and win opportunities
  • Develop a priority list based on potential revenue and needs, associated with strategic country market entry plans
  • Initiate, develop, build and maintain long-term relationships with all levels of customers
  • Work with leadership and decision-makers to explore, frame, and operationalize partnership strategies for Seer 
  • Develop, structure and negotiate new agreements 
  • Analyze industry dynamics and the competitive landscape to define opportunities in critical segments, regions, and categories

Background & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in an analytical, technical, or scientific field, advanced degree preferred 
  • 5+ years commercial, business or corporate development experience in biopharma, healthcare services, or life sciences companies
  • Ideally, 5+ years international commercial experience including working with channel partners
  • Experience in a fast-growing commercial organization with product launch experience 
  • Understanding of genomics and proteomics trends with an ability to integrate knowledge or research from multiple data sources to develop and support assumptions 
  • Outstanding customer-centric and relationship management skills
  • Background and experience with clinical and regulatory environments and markets highly desirable 
  • Strong cross-functional leadership skills, with proven experience managing complex projects  
  • Thrive in a team-oriented high-performing environment with high accountability for delivering results.
  • Fluent English is required. Other languages like Mandarin and or Hindi are very appreciated.
