What are we looking to add to our team? 

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with full stack experience and strong expertise in middle tier and database technologies. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing highly scalable distributed systems that power SeekOut's core platform services, while also contributing to our modern web applications.  The components and services you design will handle high-volume transactions with exceptional performance and reliability. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about building robust, scalable systems and who can provide technical leadership and mentorship to drive innovation. This is a hybrid role with the expectation of coming into our Bellevue office as required. 

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Leading the technical design and implementation of major software components across multiple engineering teams 
  • Building and maintaining high-performance APIs and microservices using Node.js and C#  
  • Designing and optimizing database solutions using Azure Cosmos DB and PostgreSQL 
  • Contributing to front-end development using React and TypeScript  
  • Providing technical leadership and mentoring junior engineers on the team  
  • Collaborating closely with product management on new feature implementation  
  • Anticipating, responding to, and promptly resolving customer-reported issues  
  • Participating in code reviews, promoting best practices including maintainable code and comprehensive unit tests 

What you should have: 

  • 5+ years of full stack development experience with a focus on distributed systems  
  • Strong expertise in Node.js and C#/.NET development  
  • Extensive experience with both relational (PostgreSQL, SQL Azure) and NoSQL (Cosmos DB) databases  
  • Experience with React, TypeScript and modern front-end development practices  
  • Strong understanding of API design principles and microservices architecture   
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to perform root cause analysis of complex production issues  
  • Excellent leadership, mentorship and communication skills  
  • Understanding of CI/CD practices and DevOps principles 
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience

Base Salary Hiring Range: $130,960 to $170,250 annually.
