What are we looking to add to our team?    

As a Front-End engineer, you will work with other Engineers, Product Managers (PMs) and Designers to bring performant and crafted experiences to our customers. As a senior leader you will also be responsible for helping coach earlier in career team members. We will also be looking to you to help inform our investments in our FE engineering system.

 What you will be doing: 

  • Working across Project Management, Product and Engineering teams to design and build experiences that delight our customers.
  • Coach and mentor less experienced team members.
  • Shape technical road map and strategy for our Front-End investments.
  • Set best practices for Front-End development.
  • Develop and implement user-facing features using React, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript while ensuring high performance and responsiveness. 
  • Ensure the responsiveness and compatibility of applications across various devices and browsers. 
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, adhering to coding standards and best practices. 
  • Optimize web applications for maximum speed and scalability. 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve frontend-related issues to ensure seamless user experiences. 
  • Work closely with backend engineers to integrate frontend components with server-side logic. 
  • Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, from design to deployment. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address technical challenges and propose solutions. 

You will be a great match if you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. 
  • 3-5 years of software development experience as a software engineer or related role
  • At least 3 years of experience working with JavaScript and modern frameworks such as React or Vue
  • Experience working with NodeJS and NoSQL a plus.
  • Experience with common front-end development tools, frameworks and libraries.
  • Experience working with HTML/CSS and popular design frameworks.
  • Proven track record of building and shipping web applications with a focus on user experience and performance. 
  • Experience with frontend build tools and bundlers (e.g., Webpack, Babel). 
  • Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git. 
  • Knowledge of frontend testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Enzyme) and experience writing unit and integration tests. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug and resolve complex issues. 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. 
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the latest frontend trends, techniques, and best practices.
