About the team + role

The Money Platform Team is the foundation of Robinhood's innovative credit card and money products. We design and build the critical systems that power seamless, customer-centric financial experiences. Our focus on reliability, performance, and scalability enables us to power complex operations. From real-time transactions to innovative new features, we ensure Robinhood stays at the forefront of fintech innovation.

This role is based in our Bellevue, WA, Menlo Park, CA or New York, NY office(s), with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week. 

What you’ll do

Join a high-impact team that’s scaling to meet Robinhood’s growth and evolving product needs. In this role, you’ll:

  • Build and launch major new features that power Robinhood’s flagship credit card and money offerings.
  • Solve complex engineering challenges, from scaling distributed systems to ensuring rock-solid performance.
  • Design systems that will support millions of users while enabling seamless integrations with world-class financial partners.
  • Drive innovation at the intersection of software engineering and financial technology, shaping the backbone of the Robinhood Credit Card's success.
  • Collaborate with a team of exceptional engineers who challenge and inspire you to reach beyond your potential.

What you bring

You’re a creative problem solver with a passion for building reliable, high-performance systems that scale. You thrive in fast-paced environments and are excited about taking on complex challenges. You have:

  • A track record of designing, building, and shipping highly scalable and secure systems.
  • Experience with distributed systems, backend engineering, or platform development in high-growth environments.

In addition to the base pay range listed below, this role is also eligible for bonus opportunities + equity + benefits.

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected base pay range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. For other locations not listed, compensation can be discussed with your recruiter during the interview process.
