Revolution Medicines is a clinical-stage precision oncology company focused on developing novel targeted therapies to inhibit frontier targets in RAS-addicted cancers. The company’s R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) Inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins, and RAS Companion Inhibitors for use in combination treatment strategies. As a new member of the Revolution Medicines team, you will join other outstanding scientists in a tireless commitment to patients with cancers harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway.
The Opportunity:
As a key member of the Medicinal Chemistry team, you will be part of an integrated, multidisciplinary research team making significant contributions toward the discovery of important new drug candidates. This opportunity will include:

Being trained to synthesize biologically active compounds, including the design and execution of the synthetic routes, purification of final targets, and participating in analog design.

Learning to use key instruments including LCMS, NMR, and prep HPLC.

Learning to effectively present research findings to the Medicinal Chemistry team.

Partnering in the scientific activities of other outstanding medicinal chemists, including Ph.D. scientists, and creating an environment where all ideas are heard.

Gaining experience conducting research in a biotech company.

Required Skills, Experience and Education:

Working towards bachelors (B.S., B.A., or equivalent) degree in Chemistry or related field.

Strong communication skills, well-organized, and high attention to detail.
Preferred Skills:

By the start of the internship, will have completed 2nd year organic chemistry course and associated lab.

Preferably having basic familiarity with NMR, HPLC, and mass spectrometry from teaching labs or prior research experience.
The base salary range for this intern position is $32.75 to $35.00 for candidates working onsite at our headquarters in Redwood City, CA. The range displayed on each job posting is intended to be the salary for an individual working onsite in Redwood City and will be adjusted for the local market a candidate is based in. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, market dynamics, and relevant education or training.
