The Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly motivated Summer Intern to support our team with Benchling study registration and sample inventory management. This internship offers hands-on experience in sample data organization, research operations, and process optimization within a collaborative and fast-paced environment. It is a great opportunity for students interested in research operations, sample management, translational research, and workflow optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in registering studies in Benchling, ensuring accurate data entry and organization.
- Support sample inventory tracking and management, maintaining up-to-date records.
- Collaborate with scientists and operations teams to streamline study registration workflows.
- Conduct data validation and quality control checks to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Provide general support for lab operations as needed.
- Manage and maintain communications with stakeholders in a proactive and timely manner.
Required Experience, Skills, and Education:

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, or a related field.

Strong attention to detail and ability to handle large datasets with accuracy.

Experience or familiarity with Benchling or other laboratory information management systems (LIMS) (preferred but not required).

Strong organizational and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $xxx to $xxx for candidates working onsite at our headquarters in Redwood City, CA. The range displayed on each job posting is intended to be the salary for an individual working onsite in Redwood City and will be adjusted for the local market a candidate is based in. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, market dynamics, and relevant education or training.
