The Opportunity:
To aid in this mission, the Translational Medicine (TM) team at RevMed is seeking a highly motivated, scientifically creative, and collaborative Senior Director of Cancer Genomics to work in a fast-paced environment within a cross-functional team. This role will be leading a group of translational scientists to identify novel genomic assays that can gain insights into predictive/prognostic biomarkers and accelerate clinical development programs. The position will serve as a subject-matter expert (SME) for cancer genomics in RAS-driven solid tumor types and emerging genomic assays.

Lead assessment of novel technology and biomarker assays (including NGS-based tissue and ctDNA assays) for clinical samples.

Collaborate with Clinical Bioinformatics to develop advanced analytics of NGS-based assays.

Effectively collaborate with Clinical Biomarker Development to implement novel genomic/epigenomic assays in clinical biomarker plans for phase I-III studies.

Lead efforts to query real-world clinical genomic databases to gain insights of potential predictive and prognostic biomarkers.

Partner with Clinical Biomarker Development, Clinical Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, and Clinical Development in contributing to scientific publications of predictive/prognostic biomarkers.

Keep abreast of new developments in advanced biomarker assays and novel technology, and to share knowledge with functional and cross-functional team members.
Required Experience, Skills, and Education:

A Ph.D. in molecular/cell biology, genetics/genomics or equivalent with 10+ years of industry experience.

6+ years of experience in clinical biomarker assay development and/or analysis of large clinical biomarker datasets in oncology is required.

Broad knowledge and understanding of established and novel technologies employed in clinical diagnostic assays (e.g. NGS-based tissue and ctDNA assays, digital pathology) are required.

Excellent scientific and business communication skills, strong interpersonal/collaboration skills and planning skills.

Ability to think critically and creatively and be able to work independently to determine appropriate resources for resolution of problems.

Experience in application of machine learning methods to clinical biomarker datasets is preferred.

Experience in statistical modeling in cancer genomics is preferred.
The base salary range for this full-time position is $236,000 to $295,000 for candidates working onsite at our headquarters in Redwood City, CA. The range displayed on each job posting is intended to be the salary for an individual working onsite in Redwood City and will be adjusted for the local market a candidate is based in. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, market dynamics, and relevant education or training.
