The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced candidate who will be responsible for the overall coordination and management of systems projects supporting the commercial launch of one of our novel RAS(ON) inhibitors. Partnering with Information Sciences colleagues, cross-functional leaders, operations partners, and numerous vendors, this role will ensure rigorous project execution, communication, and high-quality delivery through outstanding collaboration and attention to detail. This role will help lead and develop a number of new processes (ways of working, communication, prioritization methodologies, RACI’s, etc.) that do not exist today to support scalable, efficient, effective, and consistent delivery across numerous teams and projects.
In addition to portfolio and project management, this role will own overall operations of the Commercial and Medical Systems team (including but not limited to strategic planning, vendor contract management, stakeholder communication, financial management, internal KPIs and performance management). This role will evolve over time with the vision of owning quality assurance and production support and administration of Commercial and Medical applications.
The Director of Commercial and Medical Systems Portfolio and Operations will be a key member of the Information Sciences team, reporting to the VP of Commercial and Medical Information Systems, and is expected to develop and nurture close partnerships with a wide range of stakeholders, particularly in the Commercial and Medical teams. The ideal candidate will be proficient at managing significant change and complexity, aligning teams, bringing structure to uncertainty, and cross-functional collaboration.

Develop standards and best practices related to project management in the delivery of systems.

Partner with numerous vendors on multiple concurrent projects to roll-up status, flag dependencies and risks, and facilitate cross functional collaboration and communication.

Obtain and maintain a deep understanding of Commercial and Medical business needs and use cases to play a consultative role in prioritization and planning.

Create a shared vision of business systems launch plans and the Commercial and Medical project portfolio among stakeholders across functions and facilitate decision making related to prioritization and trade-offs.

Ensure delivery of projects within determined schedule, scope, and budget constraints.

Own daily operations of the Commercial and Medical Systems team (including but not limited to strategic planning, vendor contract management, stakeholder communication, financial management, internal KPIs and performance management, etc.).

Facilitate the selection, implementation, and maintenance of Commercial and Medical data platforms and tools.

In partnership with team leaders and business stakeholders, help develop 2-5 year technology roadmaps.

Lead the selection and management of project managers, quality assurance team members, and production support/administrators for Commercial and Medical Systems.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and a minimum of 12 years in the delivery of technology services and support, including Commercial experience.
Preferred Skills:

Relevant certifications in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PfMP, CPM, CSM) are a plus.

Experience with an oncology launch is desired.
The base salary range for this full-time position is $210,000 to $253,000 for candidates based at our headquarters in Redwood City, CA. The range displayed on each job posting is intended to be the minimum and maximum salary for the position in Redwood City and will be adjusted for the local market a candidate is based. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, market dynamics, and relevant education or training.
