Revolution Medicines is a clinical-stage precision oncology company focused on developing novel targeted therapies to inhibit frontier targets in RAS-addicted cancers.  The company’s R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) Inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins, and RAS Companion Inhibitors for use in combination treatment strategies. The Opportunity

Revolution Medicines is seeking a motivated individual with a scientific background in mass spectrometry-based proteomics to support multiple oncology therapeutic programs within the Discovery Biology team. This position will be responsible for designing, developing and deploying MS-based proteomics workflows to address compelling questions in drug discovery and design. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing mass spectrometry workflows and expertise in chemical biology. They will be interested in contributing at the bench to an interdisciplinary team supporting Revolution Medicines early discovery and pre-clinical research efforts.

  • Design and execute proteomics experiments to answer a variety of biological and mechanistic questions

  • Lead projects to innovate and improve sample preparation workflows, with an eye towards scalability and automation

  • Assist in maintenance of group instrumentation, including LC-MS/MS system

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with biology, biochemistry, chemistry and structural biology colleagues

  • Generate data in a timely manner and maintain detailed experimental records

  • Regularly and effectively communicate findings at project team and company meetings

Required Skills, Experience and Education:

  • PhD or equivalent industry experience in chemical biology, analytical chemistry or related discipline

  • Hands-on experience preparing, analyzing and interpreting proteomics datasets generated from biological samples

  • Deep knowledge of proteomics principles and sample preparation workflows

  • Ability to independently analyze proteomics data

  • Strong problem-solving skills with sound technically driven decision-making ability

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills as well as interpersonal skills

  • A creative team-player with capacity to be effective in a dynamic company environment

Preferred Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with a variety of proteomics sample preparation workflows and data acquisition methods such as unbiased discovery using TMT or DIA quantification, targeted analysis of protein levels, affinity purification mass spectrometry (AP-MS), chemical proteomics workflows, etc.

  • Hands-on experience operating and maintaining nanoLC and Thermo Tribrid series mass spectrometers

  • Hands-on experience with liquid handling automation

  • Experience with large-scale data interpretation and visualization

The expected salary range for this role is $115,000 to $138,000. An individual’s position within the range may be influenced by multiple factors, including skills and experience in role, overall performance, individual impact and contributions, tenure, and market dynamics. Base salary is one part of the overall total rewards program at RevMed, which includes competitive cash compensation, robust equity awards, strong benefits, and significant learning and development opportunities.
