Revolution Medicines is a clinical-stage precision oncology company focused on developing novel targeted therapies to inhibit high-value frontier targets in RAS-addicted cancers.  The company’s R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) Inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins, and RAS Companion Inhibitors for use in combination treatment strategies. As a new member of the Revolution Medicines team, you will join other outstanding scientists in a tireless commitment to patients with cancers harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway.

This is an exciting opportunity to be a critical player in the Business and R&D Operations group. We are a central hub within Revolution Medicines to aid in the optimization of our organization’s capacity by developing our infrastructure, processes, and information flows. The ideal candidate has an eye for efficiency and leaves situations more organized than they were found. This individual will leverage a suite of methodologies, tools, and processes to enable business functions to increase their capacity and conduct their work more effectively.  

The Opportunity:

As a key member of our dynamic Business and R&D Operations team, reporting to the Director of Business and R&D Operations, you will: 

  • Independently manages large and/or complex cross-functional business process improvement initiatives and operational excellence projects, with positive impact to business continuity.

  • Leads meetings & workshops for cross-functional improvement projects; coordinates with Functional Representatives to ensure delivery of project strategy, goals, and timelines.

  • Partners with cross-functional stakeholders to foster collaborative problem-solving.

  • Identify potential risks and issues impacting the success of initiatives and partners cross-functionally to develop mitigation strategies to address them. 

  • Think creatively about how to streamline processes and improve the overall efficiency of the initiative team, including initiative communication and best practices. 

  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project charters, plans, and reports. ​ 

  • Take a creative approach to audience-facing reporting and documentation, establishing templates for use by others as needed. ​ 

  • Create and manage timeline driven workplans, as well as creating visual process flow documentation (e.g. cross-functional process maps) that supports the work. ​ 

  • Assist other members of the Business and R&D Operations team in the development of processes that achieve reduced bureaucracy and optimize capacity. 

  • Mentors and supports the development of other Business and R&D Operations Team Members.

  • Able to thrive in a fluid environment and generate clarity in ambiguous situations.

  • Manage and maintain communications with stakeholders in a proactive and timely manner. 

  • Actively contributes to infrastructure & growth within Business and R&D Operations.

Required Skills, Experience and Education:

  • BS/BA degree in related discipline and at least 5 years of related experience. ​ 

  • Previous experience in operational excellence, clinical operations, R&D operations, project management or similar operations role in a biotech/pharmaceutical organization.​ 

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact daily with diverse cross-functional internal and external stakeholders. 

  • Innovative, proactive, and collaborative team-player with high energy to keep pace with our growing and evolving company environment.  

  • Excellent organizational skills, detail-minded, results-oriented, and driven to complete projects on time with high quality.  

  • Adaptable, proactive personality style that can prioritize, quickly adapt to changing conditions.

  • Able to function independently in a fluid environment under tight timelines.   

Preferred Skills, Experience and Education:

  • Advanced capability with MS Office software (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) is preferred. 

  • Experience with the use of diagramming software (e.g. Visio, LucidCharts) is a plus.​ 

  • Experience with the use of project or resource management tools (e.g. Smartsheet) and/or dashboard platforms (e.g. Qlikview, Spotfire, Tableau) is a plus. ​

The expected salary range for this role is $135,000 - $175,000. An individual’s position within the range may be influenced by multiple factors, including skills and experience in role, overall performance, individual impact and contributions, tenure, and market dynamics. Base salary is one part of the overall total rewards program at RevMed, which includes competitive cash compensation, robust equity awards, strong benefits, and significant learning and development opportunities.
