Revolution Medicines is a clinical-stage precision oncology company focused on developing novel targeted therapies to inhibit high-value frontier targets in RAS-addicted cancers.  The company’s R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) Inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins, and RAS Companion Inhibitors for use in combination treatment strategies. As a new member of the Revolution Medicines team, you will join other outstanding scientists in a tireless commitment to patients with cancers harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway.

The Opportunity:

As a cancer pharmacologist you will:

  • Be a critical contributor to the translational research group and multi-disciplinary research and development project teams.

  • Lead PD assay development and execution within the cancer pharmacology group.

  • Develop high-quality protocols and outputs, and maintain detailed documentation of procedures and data to comply with internal standard operating procedures and other quality criteria, where necessary.

  • Liaison with Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Control (CMC) department to coordinate compound usage and formulation.

  • Liaison with Nonclinical Development and Clinical Pharmacology department (NDCP) for PKPD modeling studies.

  • Design, conduct, and manage in vivo and ex vivo experiments in-house or at contract research organizations (CROs).

  • Manage and analyze experimental data and present results at internal meetings and scientific conferences.

Required Experience, Skills, and Education:

  • A BS/MS in pharmacology or cancer biology with 1-3 years of relevant industry experience in small molecule discovery and IND-enabling pharmacology experience is preferred.

  • Rigorous, quantitative, and detail-oriented experimentalist with proven excellence in experimental design, data analysis methods, data management, and presentation.

  • Experience with elucidating basic oncology pharmacology concepts such as PKPD and efficacy relationships. An understanding of preclinical to clinical translational concepts is desired.

  • Demonstrated experience in establishing, executing, and interpreting in vivo experiments with oncology disease models, including technical excellence in rodent handling and dosing skills.

  • Thrives in a collaborative team setting and is driven by a desire to be innovative in a high-energy start-up environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize options, anticipate challenges, and execute on goals as a member of an interdisciplinary team is extremely important.
