The Bankrate team is seeking a Director, Consumer Experience to join one of our key financial verticals and lead the vision of our website and products. In this role, you will lead a team and be responsible for the end-to-end user experience, from the moment the consumer hits the site through conversion. This includes the products that power our marketplace and monetization.

Utilizing data, you’ll develop informed points of view and define KPIs to measure the success of our site strategy. You’ll work closely with the engineering and creative teams to bring your vision to life. You’ll also work closely with our marketing teams to drive user adoption and our business operations teams to drive monetization, both of which will be essential to success.

*This role requires a hybrid schedule and will be based in our Fort Mill, SC Headquarters or our NYC Office (Tuesday through Thursday) and work fully remotely on Mondays and Fridays each week.

What You'll Do:

  • Contribute critical thinking and challenge the status quo as an influential member of the Bankrate team.
  • Lead and develop a team of analysts and product managers to develop and implement transformative on-site testing initiatives.
  • Own the business cases for new and enhanced consumer experiences including evaluation and execution of strategy, marketing, monetization and KPIs.
  • Analyze consumer, and other business data to inform your point of view and to track success.
  • Collaborate with other business leaders to ensure your strategy aligns with the broader goals for growth of the Bankrate brand
  • Foster a culture of success, innovation and inclusivity across your team.

What We're Looking For:

  • 5+ years of business experience in a highly quantitative and analytical environment, preferably in full product lifecycle, marketing and/or digital.
  • Track record of developing and executing business cases and products that consider business strategy, consumer needs, feasibility, time to market, unit economics, ROI, competition and more.
  • Comfortable utilizing data to make real-time decisions.
  • A motivational team leader with a demonstrated ability to manage and develop junior and mid-level analytical talent focused on product and/or website innovation. 
  • Strong bias towards action; eager to drive initiatives forward autonomously, seeking feedback as the need arises and leveraging resources (directly and indirectly).
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced and often changing environment, with an inclination to learn new skills to solve new problems.
  • An influential communicator across senior executives, leadership peers and your direct team.
  • Demonstrated ability to exhibit servant leadership by consistently making direct contributions; ability to operate at both strategic and execution levels.
  • Passionate about understanding customer behavior and enhancing the quality of digital  interactions and product lifecycle.

Compensation: 

  • Cash compensation range: $130,000-$210,000
  • New York City Compensation Range: $162,000-262,000
    • *Note actual salary is based on geographic location, qualifications, and experience.
