Red Digital is looking for a result-oriented, innovative Engineer that has experience in data systems and back end to join the team! The ideal candidate will have experience in working with data warehouses and developing data pipelines.. This person will be interacting with engineers and stakeholders at all levels. Strong communication skills are a must along with having the ability to collaborate well with others. This individual will be responsible for promoting a collaborative and communicative culture as partners of one of our major clients in Red Digital by providing robust and leading data pipelines.

What You'll Do:

  • Work with a cross-functional team of data engineers, software engineers, data analysts, and data scientists to understand business requirements.
  • Contribute to key architectural decisions.
  • Conceptualize and generate infrastructure that allows data to be accessed and analyzed effectively.
  • Documenting technical ETL/ELT specifications for a data warehouse.
  • Perform periodic code reviews and test plans to ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Design and build data pipelines from various sources to data warehouses using batch or incremental loading strategies utilizing cutting-edge technologies like dbt, Fivetran, Redshift, Airflow, Databricks, HighTouch and others.

What we are looking for:

  • 3+ year experience working with data warehouses
  • Strong SQL querying and tuning skills.
  • Experience working on Spark (Data Frames / Dataset API) using Python to build and maintain complex ETL pipelines.
  • Comfortable with building processes in cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Familiarity with enterprise data platforms (Databricks preferred)
  • Proficiency in version control tooling (GitHub), CI/CD processes (GitHub Actions), and general development processes
  • Comfortable working with data monitoring and observability tools such as Monte Carlo or Elementary.
  • Working knowledge of using (or understand the benefits of) infrastructure as code (IaaS) technologies such as Terraform or Cloudformation
  • Excellent communication skills for effective team collaboration, including the ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Even Better

  • Exposure to tools like dbt, Hightouch
  • Experience with BI Tooling such as Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or Superset.
  • Understanding of data analytics and basic knowledge of data science.
  • Experience working in the consumer internet, marketing space.

Compensation

  • National Compensation Range: $80,000 - $120,000
