The Role

The Consumer Insights Senior Analyst will lead insights and analytics work to drive a consumer-first culture of evidence-based decision making. The ideal candidate is a curious, strategic thinker, detail oriented and a collaborative business partner who thrives in a fast-paced environment. This role balances human insights & advanced analytics that feed into the development of strategic plans, equity development, category growth opportunities, innovation, creative development and in-market performance measurement. This role is hybrid and open to either being located in Los Angeles, CA or Minneapolis, MN.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

The Consumer Insights Sr. Analyst is responsible for duties including but not limited to the following:

  • Act as the “voice of the consumer”: Serve as a trusted, strategic advisor to cross-functional teams. Create consumer empathy/understanding across the business teams by clearly articulating market & consumer understanding and identifying actionable learning needs.
  • Uncover the drivers: Help teams understand what is happening with the business/market/consumer and help them prioritize understanding the ‘why behind the what’. Understand the ‘why’ through syndicated and primary, custom research (qualitative and quantitative studies).
  • Source of truth: Lead insight generation through syndicated research/market data, (e.g. Circana POS/panel data) and manage custom research studies to help optimize base business and innovation success. Generate monthly and quarterly state of the business reporting.
  • Collaborate: Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to understand business challenges and key success metrics to support any recommended research approaches. Create and connect the dots, triangulate insights and analytics, create meaningful interpretations and recommendations that address business issues and drive action through engaging narratives and effective storytelling and visualization. Interpret and pragmatically translate research learning into feasible business building action steps and ensure alignment with key business partners.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • Experience: Minimum of 5+ years in Consumer Insights and Analytics, with a proven track record of leveraging insights to drive business outcomes.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required; a post-graduate degree in Market Research, Social Sciences, or Statistics is a plus.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficient with syndicated and custom data sets (e.g., Numerator, Circana).
    • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) and analytical software (e.g., SPSS, R) is preferred.
    • Expertise in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies and business analysis.
  • Key Competencies:
    • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
    • Ability to synthesize diverse data sources into actionable insights.
    • Skilled in influencing strategy and providing end-to-end recommendations as a business partner.
    • Highly detail-oriented and adept at managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Additional Skills:
    • Passion for understanding consumer behavior and market dynamics.
    • Proactive, curious, and experienced in project/vendor management.
    • Strong analytical thinking, writing, and communication skills.
    • Effective at managing supplier relationships and administrative processes.
  • Location: We are open for this role based in Los Angeles, CA or Minneapolis, MN.

Compensation

The pay range for this role is $80,000- $110,000 base. Actual compensation is based on many factors including but not limited to depth of experience, skill level, ability, knowledge, education, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor. 

The total rewards package for this position may also include base, annual incentive plan, benefits, retirement plan, equity, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
