The Role

The Digital Designer will play a role in creating best-in-class digital assets for our e-commerce, social, and retailer channels. We’re a collaborative, fast moving, strategy focused, creative team on the cutting edge of clean conscious consumer goods. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience designing for organic/paid social media and various e-commerce channels, with an eye for upscale art direction. This person will be responsible for creating and supporting beautifully designed, engaging, digital communications using our brand style guide, and aligning with creative/business objectives.

Our ideal candidate understands the needs of a contemporary brand– is detail oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has an excellent understanding of designing with type, color, photography, and motion. The role requires someone who can clearly explain creative ideas, quickly conceptualize or mockup designs, and deliver high quality production ready files using a modern design workflow. This individual will feel comfortable juggling multiple projects at once and honoring deadlines daily.

The role will report to the Senior Designer and maintain close collaboration with a team of passionate creatives and marketing partners. We are LA based and operating partially remote.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute day-to-day digital projects across various digital media platforms, with a focus on e-commerce and social media, including but not limited to emails, banner advertising, and other collateral.
  • Build low- and high-fidelity designs to quickly explore ideas and execute with the highest quality deliverables.
  • Uphold brand guidelines across all deliverables while balancing innovation and ensuring the brand remains fresh for consumers.
  • Help maintain a consistent brand identity and customer experience across all designs.
  • Collaborate with creative and marketing stakeholders to align with both creative and business goals.
  • Balance designs centered around the target audience through the lens of the brand: identifying who will use the product, what they will use it for, and what value they will gain.
  • Solicit and integrate design feedback from creative leaders while independently executing revisions.
  • Design assets that may include both static and animated media.
  • Perform minor retouching, color correction, editing, and formatting of imagery for implementation in designs.
  • Demonstrate an excellent understanding of design principles and a commitment to consistently creating competitively engaging work.
  • Exhibit excellent time management skills and the ability to work concurrently on multiple projects.
  • Stay updated with new and emerging digital, web, and mobile technologies/trends.
  • Conduct self-quality assurance (Q/A) on all work to maintain a high standard for deliverables.
  • Partner with producers and project managers to maintain and adhere to project timelines, following the routing process and pivoting quickly as needed.
  • Collaborate with marketing managers to better understand business objectives and deliverables.

Qualifications:

  • BA/AA in Graphic Design or a related field.
  • Education in graphic design, typography, digital design, and/or visual communications.
  • 3+ years of experience in digital design; e-commerce experience preferred.
  • Strategic thinker with experience in interpreting and adapting brand creative for digital spaces.
  • Reliable and adaptive understanding of the latest versions of Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator).
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate ideas and accept directional feedback.
  • Self-directed, with the ability to recognize what needs to be done and operate with urgency, focus, and discipline.
  • Experience creating GIFs and short-form animations using Adobe After Effects and Photoshop.
  • Video editing and motion design experience with Adobe Premiere and After Effects is a plus.
  • Experience with Workfront or project management software is a plus.
  • Preferred experience designing for baby, beauty, fashion, or editorial brands aimed at upscale audiences.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and values consistency.
  • Hands-on; completes tasks and is dependable.
  • Strong team player capable of building strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Ethical, fair, and demonstrates high integrity.

Compensation

The pay range for this role is $76,500-$95,000. Actual compensation is based on many factors including but not limited to depth of experience, skill level, ability, knowledge, education, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor. 

The total rewards package for this position may also include base, annual incentive plan, benefits, retirement plan, equity, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
