Reporting to: Senior Scientific Director, Proteomics, Molecular Technology
Key Responsibilities
- Manage maintenance, quality control and troubleshooting instruments including nanoLCs, Evosep, and mass spectrometers (Orbitrap, Q-TOF, and MALDI).
- Design and execute various label-free and label-based (SILAC, TMT etc.) MS experiments for proteomics or targeted protein quantification, and provide project-specific data interpretation
- Stay up to date on proteomics methods and their application technologies including ASMS, CETSA, HDX and chemoproteomics
- Develop and operate MS-based high-throughput drug screening methods including ASMS and MALDI
- Develop and optimize sample preparation methods for deep mass spec-based proteome analysis of cells
- Collaborate with team members to develop optimal experimental design for characterization of protein degraders
- Integrate into various drug discovery projects and proactively recognize/solve technical and scientific issues.
Requirements
- PhD in proteomics, biochemistry, analytical chemistry, or a related field with 2+ years, MS with 5+ years or BS with 10+ years of relevant experience
- Broad knowledge of the current mass spectrometry proteomics and techniques, with a proven record of success through publications and presentations
- Expertise in preparing samples, performing liquid chromatography fractionation, running a range of mass spectrometers, and analyzing mass spectrometry data
- Experience with maintenance, quality control and troubleshooting instruments including, nanoLCs, Evosep, and mass spectrometers
- Experience in high-throughput drug screening, quantitative biology, or molecular pharmacology will be a plus.
- Knowledge and experiences in targeted protein degradation preferred
