The Business Analysis Manager is key in guiding and managing the business analysis team to ensure effective analysis of business needs and implement Actimize Solutions. This position involves working closely with stakeholders to gather business requirements, identify improvements, and facilitate the implementation of solutions that enhance operational efficiency and strategic decision-making. Below is a general job description:
How will you make an impact?
- Lead and mentor a team of business analysts, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of Actimize Solutions.
- Oversee the performance, development, and training of team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Assign projects and manage resource allocation based on team capabilities and project requirements.
- Communicate with clients to gather, analyze and document system requirements.
- Write business specifications and system test plans.
- Conduct testing and prepare use cases and test cases.
- Test data, perform data analysis as well as understanding, manipulating and analyzing client data as it relates to Actimize solutions.
- Perform business user configuration of Actimize products and plan and conduct solution test cases per client requirements.
- Conduct client facing workshops and support business and technical teams and with product documents for both external and internal clients including, but not limited to, business and functional requirements, configuration specifications, testing and tuning documentation.
- Service clients as a business focal point for solutions.
- Serve as the first level of escalation on projects.
- Facilitate client UAT.
- Review SOWs, manage and mentor assigned business analysts in projects.
- Responsible for project profitability and high delivery quality.
Have you got what it takes?
Must have 5 years of experience in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):
- Requires a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a directly related field plus 5 years of experience implementing enterprise software in relevant vertical markets (e.g. financial services, telco).
- Experience in business analysis with financial services industry
- Experience delivering elements of systems design, including business rules, and wireframes
- Experience leading requirements gathering workshops and preparing and maintaining – Process Flow Analysis, Requirement Definitions, and Traceability Matrix
- Experience with the project lifecycle coupled with all the phases of software development lifecycle, including processes, techniques and tools
- Experienced in documenting and presenting system and data flows using industry standard tools and methodologies including at least one of the following: Microsoft Visio, Power point, or UML
- Data analysis or reporting skills, including intermediate SQL
- Must have financial services experience (banking, brokerage, or insurance)
- Knowledge of brokerage / deal surveillance, anti-money laundering (AML) and/or fraud prevention
- External Consulting or Professional Services experience at a vendor
- Strong writing skills are essential
- SQL knowledge
- Experience writing detailed specifications
- Team oriented
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to travel 20% of the time
