About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned IT Technical Project Manager with a proven track record of managing and delivering complex technical projects related to IT systems, such as Okta, Slack, and Google Workspace. In this role, you will work closely with key stakeholders across departments, such as HR, Finance, and Accounting, to ensure successful project implementation, drive process improvements, manage change effectively, and align technology solutions with business needs. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in project management, change management, and stakeholder engagement, coupled with a deep understanding of IT systems.

About the Job

  • Partner with IT and other departments to lead end-to-end projects for the implementation of new technologies, streamline business processes, and create new policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for the discovery, planning, and execution of medium to large IT projects that have a moderate to high degree of ambiguity in scope and/or timeline.
  • Responsible for defining project scope, goals, success metrics, and risks through collaboration with internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure on-time, high-quality outcomes.
  • Oversee change management initiatives, including stakeholder communication, training, and adoption strategies, to drive the successful rollout of new technologies and processes.
  • Address roadblocks, mitigate risks, and proactively resolve issues to ensure project delivery aligns with stakeholder expectations.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior management and teams across the organization to foster collaboration and transparency.
  • Ensure proper documentation of project assets such as requirements, charters, roadmaps, and lessons learned.
  • Stay updated on best practices and industry trends related to IT systems, and provide strategic recommendations for continual improvement.
  • Encourages collaboration and teamwork to help problem solve, unblock peers, and scale processes.

About You

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience leading technical projects as a Project Manager, preferably with a focus on business systems and customer-facing platforms.
  • Strong experience managing large-scale projects involving multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Hands-on project experience  with IT tools such as Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, Jamf, Intune
  • Proven track record in change management, including managing communications and adoption strategies.
  • Skilled at creating and managing project plans, budgets, charters, and timelines independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Experience with Atlassian products like Jira and Confluence for project tracking and documentation.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand system integrations and data flows.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on using data to drive decisions and measure project success.
  • Collaborative mindset with an ability to build trust and drive alignment across teams.
  • Effective and proactive communicator who can provide excellent customer service to all levels of employees, management, and vendors
  • The ability to function effectively in a fast paced environment, manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, and adapt quickly to shifting business priorities.

Instacart provides highly market-competitive compensation and benefits in each location where our employees work. This role is remote and the base pay range for a successful candidate is dependent on their permanent work location. Please review our Flex First remote work policy here.
