About the Role

As a Senior Content Designer at Instacart, you will play a crucial role in shaping our products with clear, human-centered UX/UI copy. From ideation through to implementation, you'll work closely with designers, product managers, researchers, and engineers to craft content that makes grocery shopping effortless. Your work will influence how people interact with Instacart, enhancing the shopping experience with clarity and precision, while ensuring our voice aligns with our business design.

We are a collaborative, innovative group focused on delivering seamless grocery shopping experiences. As part of our team, you'll partner across functions to create content that is essential for transforming grocery shopping.

 

 

About the Job  

  • Embed with feature teams on key product surfaces that onboard, engage, and retain users of Instacart's core consumer experiences.
  • Develop, ship, interpret results, and iterate on UX content that delivers measurable impact for product experiences.
  • Seamlessly collaborate with cross-functional teams that may include product designers, product managers, engineers, data scientists, UX researchers, and other specialists.
  • Create writing that flawlessly expresses Instacart's product tone of voice and adheres to global content standards for UX writing. Adhere to content standards while maintaining consistency with Instacart’s voice.
  • Share your work with the team and provide constructive feedback.

 

 

About You

Minimum Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience crafting content for web and mobile interfaces.
  • You have an expert command of written language, design thinking, and content frameworks that enable strong product experiences.
  • You're a capable problem-solver and design thinker who can translate product requirements, user insights, design strategy, and business goals into high-quality language frameworks and UX writing. 
  • You have strong convictions around craft and quality in UX content with a portfolio that consistently showcases clear, effective writing.
  • You can successfully operate autonomously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, practicing good judgment with minimal oversight.
  • You are experienced with or motivated to use AI to supercharge UX content production.
  • Skilled in conveying complex ideas simply and effectively.
  • Strong understanding of information architecture and the intersection of visual design and language.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Passion for your work and dedication to supporting Instacart customers.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience with a variety of content formats, including interfaces, microcopy, emails, notifications, and style guides.
  • Portfolio showcasing a range of experiences is a plus.
