About the Role -

As Senior Manager, FoodStorm Sales at Instacart, you will play a crucial role in driving the adoption and sales of our market-leading order management system (FoodStorm), a SaaS solution that powers end-to-end order-ahead and prepared foods experiences for grocery retailers. This position focuses on expanding FoodStorm's presence within existing Instacart accounts and penetrating the broader retailer market, empowering grocery retailers to enhance their customer experiences through advanced, tailored solutions.

 

 

About the Team - 

The FoodStorm team is an integral part of Instacart's Connected Stores enterprise technology portfolio, designed to help retailers grow, compete, and meet the evolving needs of their customers. As part of this small but impactful cross-functional team, you will work closely with Instacart account teams and contribute across our broader business, promoting a synergistic environment where knowledge and best practices are shared.

 

 

About the Job 

  • Lead and Manage Sales Team: Manage a small but dynamic sales team within the FoodStorm department, guiding sales strategy and ensuring alignment with broader company goals.
  • Proactively identify, contact, and establish relationships with potential target partners aligned with our agreed market strategy.
  • Lead product demonstrations, supporting the sales process with expert knowledge of the FoodStorm solution.
  • Collaborate with marketing to build the sales pipeline and enhance the prospect experience.
  • Ensure all relevant prospect information is promptly and accurately recorded into our CRM system.
  • Consult responsibly with the enterprise solutions team  and other internal stakeholders to ensure a seamless transition from sales to implementation.
  • Communicate retailer  and market updates cross functionally, including participating in meetings outside of local business hours to represent regional interests.

About You

Minimum Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in SaaS and specifically enterprise SaaS sales, with a strong track record of solution sales. 
  • Proven experience in sales team leadership and management.
  • Self-motivated and a quick learner, with a drive to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Excellent autonomous time and work management capabilities.
  • Superior communication skills, with the aptitude to listen and adapt to varied audiences.
  • Strong experience and confidence in SaaS solution sales product demonstrations.
  • Strong organizational skills and rapid response times for communications.
  • Proficient in presenting, influencing, and managing stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Comfort with a rapidly evolving business landscape.
  • High moral standards with uncompromising honesty and integrity.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce CRM and managing sales processes.
  • Competent with Google Suite.

  • Additional skills that enhance creativity and problem-solving abilities.
  • Specialized knowledge in vertical markets that align with grocery retail and prepared foods.
