ABOUT THE JOB

Our newly formed Brand and Marketing team is charged with defining the Instacart brand and making it a household name. We are right- and left-brained - combining creativity with a rigorously analytical approach. We move fast, work nimbly, and are laser-focused on driving measurable business impact. 

We're looking for a Consumer Product Marketing Manager to join our Product Marketing team. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, skilled storyteller, and expert influencer with the demonstrated ability to work closely with Product Management, Integrated Marketing, Creative, and Lifecycle teams to generate strong outcomes. This position will own the go-to-market strategy and manage the team that supports our Consumer experiences. Within this scope, the role will lead initiatives related to product positioning and messaging, identifying insight-driven product opportunities, and leading the product marketing launches. 

Strong communication skills will be important, and this person will be able to confidently share the roadmap to educate and inspire internal and external partners at all levels.

  • Champion the voice of the customer by partnering closely with Product to define priority features based on consumer needs and market analysis, blending quantitative and qualitative insights to find untapped opportunities for growth
  • Lead go to market of key features to drive awareness and adoption and impact key funnel metrics across the Consumer lifecycle 
  • Build all consumer campaigns for Consumer experiences, partnering with teammates to develop and execute all messaging, channel, and creative elements
  • Create sustainable processes to scale the Product Marketing team's impact across the company
  • Bring strong, performant product storytelling to life throughout every step of the customer journey
  • Grow, manage and mentor a talented product marketers responsible for both strategy and execution

ABOUT YOU

  • 10+ years experience in marketing; 6+ of those years in product marketing specifically
  • Significant experience working in tech product marketing, driving adoption for digital products and features
  • 3+ years experience managing product marketing teams
  • Proven experience in both Consumer Product Marketing 
  • Strong storyteller with the ability to develop campaigns that get customers' attention and build product brands people and companies love
  • Data-driven marketer, with ability to drive experimentation plans
  • Experience using insights and strategic thinking to build business cases that influence stakeholders
  • Experience communicating the benefits of various marketing strategies to business audiences of all levels
  • Experience driving complex projects in a fast-paced environment
  • You take a lot of initiative, but are continuously collaborative

Preferred Experience & Skills:

  • Experience bringing product marketing to life in the physical world a plus
