We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Equipment Technician to join our medical device manufacturing and production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining inventory, collaborating with quality control and be responsible for troubleshooting and performing regular preventive maintenance. This role ensures that all equipment operates efficiently, meets regulatory standards, and supports production goals.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILTIES:
- Preventive Maintenance:Perform regular preventive maintenance on all manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime and extend equipment life. Maintain and execute a detailed schedule for routine inspections, cleaning, and parts replacement.
- Inventory Management:Monitor and maintain an inventory of spare parts and tools required for equipment maintenance. Ensure timely reordering to avoid delays in repairs.
- IQC Support:Collaborate with the Incoming Quality Control (IQC) team to inspect incoming materials and components for compliance with quality standards.
- Documentation:Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, results, repairs, and equipment performance. Ensure all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible.
- Troubleshooting and Repair:Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues promptly. Perform repairs and coordinate with external service providers when necessary to minimize production disruptions.
- Continuous Improvement:Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving initiatives related to equipment maintenance and quality control. Implement best practices and industry standards to enhance overall operational efficiency.
- Safety Compliance:Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and guidelines during maintenance and repair activities. Conduct safety inspections and address any hazards promptly.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in equipment maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
- Proficiency in using maintenance management software and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and quality standards.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment and perform maintenance tasks.
COMPENSATION AND CLASSIFICATION

- The base salary range for this position is $75,000 - $85,000 per year which represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this exempt position.
- Please note that actual offer will vary based on factors including, but not limited to the candidate's geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors including internal equity. As such, there is the possibility that the final, agreed-upon base salary may be outside of the lower or upper end of the range. Please also note the compensation range listed is just one component of the company's total rewards package. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the total compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
