A Hybrid working model
Now offices are fully open we have embraced a hybrid working model, which allows our employees to split their time between the office and other locations, something we hope will provide everyone much more flexibility to their working week. What does a SOX Lead do at Hogarth?
The role will cover UK Hogarth business and support our Global team in other geographies.
This position reports into the Global Regional SOX Controller and will be working closely with the Global Director - Risk & Controls. Key to success within this role is the standardisation of process and controls where appropriate and supporting delivery of Green Sox audits.
The Successful candidate will be very detail-oriented, deadline driven and have the skills to influence and drive compliance within the UK business
Support the end-to-end SOX, audits and internal control procedures
Be the key point of contact for SOX compliance
Optimize the design of internal controls, identifying opportunities for improvement in assigned processes
Perform pre audit testing to ensure all controls are performed and documented in accordance with WPP procedures
Ensure deficiencies are tracked and improved/remediated in a timely manner
Prepare and maintain supporting documentation on SOX controls
Provide support to the UK finance team and performing key SOX audit preview controls related to vendor approvals, vendor spend, etc
Directly liaise with auditors to schedule and co-ordinate audits and ensure timely delivery of samples, responses to queries and managing portal information.
Oversee Vendor Management Process
Prepare and maintain supporting documentation on SOX controls
Leading contract assessment process from compliance perspective
Support other finance projects for revenue, billing, credit control, accounting and payables
Ad hoc support for Global Risk & Compliance team in other regions (mainly EMEA & APAC)
Candidate Profile
- Professional in Economic Sciences (Accountant, Bachelor in Administration or Information Systems) or other related degree
- Possess excellent analytical skills, autonomy, commitment and orientation to results and efficiency
- Proven past experience
- Audit experience, but operationally focussed
- Strong transactional accounting skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Prior understanding and knowledge of SOX compliance practices
- Exposure to WPP practices and tolls is an advantage
- A team player
