Senior Print Production Manager

The Role:

The role is to ensure flawless development and execution of world-class communications in support of our most important client’s business goals. Based in Korea the Senior Print Production Specialist provides good project management skills to maintain schedules for all printed materials on various substrates.

The range of work includes packaging, collateral projects, retail window and in-store graphics, event graphics, signage, gift cards, and premiums. The candidate must have good colour analysis skills and comprehensive knowledge with pre-press, large and small format litho, and finishing techniques; experience with digital and photographic mediums is required along with supervision of on-site installations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and brief print jobs to suppliers and outsource print management responsibilities to production agencies as necessary
  • Supervise suppliers during proofing, colour management, and printing phases, including on-site press and bindery checks, finishing, quality control, and kit spot-checking. PPS will suggest on best methods of kit packing and fulfilment; on-site fulfilment visits will be done on a regular basis
  • Oversee external production agencies when they perform any of the above services
  • Work closely with other teams to ensure that agencies and suppliers are strictly following the production specifications and schedules
  • Provide colour guidance, and advice on best methods for quality control
  • Join external business partners on-press and optimize their deliverables regarding quality and substrates as appropriate
  • Keep clients informed of the production status of all projects

Requirements:

  • University degree and a minimum of 5 years print production experience in an agency or in-house corporate graphic design department
  • Must be proactive, highly organized, excellent at multitasking, comfortable under pressure, and able to work effectively as a team member
  • Some experience in Adobe Creative Suite will be useful, but not mandatory
  • Strong written and spoken skills required for English and Korean
  • Able to work longer hours and sometimes over the weekends when required
