You will…
- Report to our Head of Tax & Compliance and lead a range of legal, compliance and governance projects, developing the local function
- Manage contract drafting, review and negotiation in collaboration with our procurement and marketing teams
- Work with various departments across marketing, operations and management to develop our business risk and contract management framework
- Identify, manage and consult on various competition and consumer law matters including marketing campaigns, packaging and promotional materials
- Ensure various government reporting and corporate statutory obligations are met
- Provide guidance on various requirements around consumer protection, privacy principles and regulations applying to retail food and logistics industries
- Engage with various business authorities to investigate issues and formulate responses to queries where required
- Be the point of contact on various engagements with third party consultants and become a subject matter expert, providing legal support across departments
You have…
- Passion, drive and fantastic communication skills
- An Australian law degree with current practicing certificate and at least 2-3 years PQE
- Solid experience with general corporate, regulatory and commercial legal issues
- Private practice and/or in-house experience in e-commerce, FMCG, retail or similar industries
- The ability to effectively prioritise; manage short term deadlines with longer term strategy and goals
- Ability to assess risk, communicate with business stakeholders and collaborate effectively to achieve practical outcomes
- Experience in leading cross-functional projects. Strong attention to detail and are excited by a broad and ever changing scope of work
