The Role
As a People and Production planner you will bring your experience of labour planning to provide a clear and detailed understanding of our labour requirements, fulfillment and performance. You will provide a high level of insight to senior management, internal recruitment and external agency partners to ensure we have the right people in the right role, at the right time to deliver exceptional production results.
You will also work cross functionally to ensure that all areas are aligned to the same targets. You will work to continuously improve how we are able to use our team efficiently and effectively.
This role is based in our Distribution Center in Moss, Norway.
You will…
- Manage daily workforce scheduling, production planning, and the holiday planning process.
- Own the end-to-end agency process, including performance management, daily bookings, and related tasks.
- Perform ad-hoc audits on workforce allocation to ensure that staffing assumptions on the shop floor are accurate.
- Sign off on P&P holiday schedules.
- Support monthly reviews of upcoming capacity requirements.
- Collaborate with process owners to ensure that leave of absence and vacations do not disrupt the workforce plan, and consult on alternative solutions as needed.
- Conduct weekly and daily production planning, including tasks like kitting, assembly, and pick-up planning.
- Participate in and support shop-floor leadership in addressing challenges and disruptions to the plan, and guide efforts to get back on track.
- Conduct daily performance audits and proactively work to ensure adherence to the plan.
- Conduct monthly reviews of capacity requirements in collaboration with the production planner.
- Continuously improve and optimize the production plan by assessing the variance between the planned vs. actual performance.
- Work with process subject matter experts from each team to align the production plan with MpB (Managed Process Baseline) improvements.
- Actively seek improvement opportunities locally and collaborate with external stakeholders to implement them.
You have…
- Previous experience in a production environment, understanding the complexities of scheduling, resource allocation, and meeting production targets effectively.
- You have a hands-on approach with keen attention to detail, ensuring that every aspect of the workforce plan is accurate, aligned with operational needs and followed-up constantly.
- You have strong communication skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and clearly convey workforce strategies and recommendations.
- You are data-driven and proficient in Excel, using data to make informed decisions and leveraging tools to optimize workforce scheduling and resource management.
- You don’t shy away from a challenge and are able to perform in a fast-paced and continuously changing work environment.
- You’re pro-active, ambitious, and make things happen.
- Fluent in English, some knowledge of Norwegian preferred.
