About HashiCorp

HashiCorp is a fast-growing startup that solves development, operations, and security challenges in infrastructure so organizations can focus on business-critical tasks. We build products to give organizations a consistent way to manage their move to cloud-based IT infrastructures for running their applications. Our products enable companies large and small to mix and match AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and other clouds as well as on-premises environments, easing their ability to deliver new applications for their business.

About the role

HashiCorp is hiring a senior product marketing manager to own the go-to-market for Waypoint and supporting the Infrastructure Lifecycle Management portfolio, including Terraform, Packer, Waypoint and Nomad. HashiCorp became the industry leader in cloud automation through an amazing collection of open-source projects that are now downloaded over 500 million times each year. The company is now rapidly building out its commercial offerings to capitalize on this momentum and help the world’s largest organizations effectively and consistently automate their cloud workloads.

It will be important for you to know the ins and outs of dynamic, cloud based IT operations, and how traditional provisioning workflows are being disrupted by the cloud.  You will need to understand our customers and their needs so you can work closely across the organization to drive the right messages and go-to-market activities, deliver tools and training to the sales team, and help drive commercial success for Waypoint and the Infrastructure Lifecycle Management portfolio

In this role you can expect to deliver:

  • Product launches — plan the launch of new products and releases and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan
  • Product positioning and messaging — Develop and iterate positioning and messaging anchored on customer aspirations, product truth, and competitive reality for Waypoint and the Infrastructure Lifecycle Management portfolio, with a focus on decision-maker audiences
  • Market research — Be an expert on our buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria; understand the market landscape and how to competitively position the product.  Serve as the voice of the customer to the internal product-focused teams to reinforce solving customer challenges.
  • Marketing campaigns — Partner with the demand generation team to create the infrastructure campaigns for the company to generate interest in our solutions and build pipeline
  • Content creation — Use your domain knowledge, technical expertise, and understanding of our target personas to build the content that best explains the business value of our commercial offerings
  • Sales enablement — Create and maintain content to educate our sales team and the partner community on how best to position the HashiCorp’s infrastructure portfolio for long-term value creation
  • Cross-team collaboration — Work with the product, engineering, sales, and marketing teams to ensure your initiatives are effective and driving results for the company

Self-Identification of Disability

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
