About the role
We are looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to lead one of our key Analytics Platform teams. In this role, you will directly manage a larger group of engineers with an extended scope, covering multiple platform areas and data products critical to Superbet’s growth.
You’ll partner closely with product managers, analysts, and engineering peers to deliver a platform that is reliable, governed, and self-service by design. Beyond execution, you’ll drive strategy, set technical direction, and foster a culture of engineering excellence, scaling your team’s impact across the company.
What you’ll be doing
- leading and growing a high-performing engineering team, ensuring clear priorities, impactful delivery, and strong execution
- partnering with product, analytics, and business stakeholders to co-own strategy, roadmap, and success metrics
- setting technical direction across your scope, ensuring scalable data models (Kimball, Inmon), reliable pipelines, and trusted data layers
- driving cross-platform initiatives such as self-service analytics, observability, and data quality improvements
- mentoring engineers, supporting their growth, and raising the technical bar across your team
- navigating ambiguity and balancing long-term platform evolution with near-term business needs
- contributing to the Analytics Platform leadership group, influencing broader strategy and ways of working
What we’re looking for
- 7+ years of experience in engineering, with at least 3+ years managing data or platform engineering teams
- proven track record of building and scaling data platforms or large-scale analytics systems
- strong technical grounding in modern data stacks (Snowflake, Airflow, AWS or similar) and DWH modeling (Kimball, Inmon)
- exposure to real-time, event-driven architectures and interest in applying them at scale
- ability to set direction, manage ambiguity, and influence stakeholders across technical and non-technical domains
- strong communication skills, capable of creating clarity and alignment across diverse teams
- a coaching and growth mindset, with a passion for developing engineers and fostering high-performance culture
Bonus points for
- hands-on experience with streaming technologies such as Kafka or Kinesis
- experience with data governance, cataloging, and observability at scale
- background in product-led or experimentation-driven organizations
- familiarity with sports betting, gaming, or similarly high-volume, real-time industries
- experience working in global, distributed environments
