YOUR MISSION

At Glovo, we believe that delivering WOW service to our clients can transform the delivery market. Our hyperlocal marketplace features the trendiest places in each city, delivering their products in less than 60 minutes. To achieve this, we pay attention to every detail. We are seeking a seasoned leader to join Glovo’s commercial team as the Regional Commercial Director for East Europe & Central Asia based in Barcelona. This senior role focuses on our core business segment—restaurants, but will have ownership of all the commercial verticals in the region ( including restaurants, ads, groceries, etc) . As the Commercial Director, you will play a pivotal role in:

Partners:

  • Expanding our selection by signing outstanding restaurants not yet on our platform.
  • Developing innovative strategies to help our partners grow their businesses on Glovo.

Glovo:

  • Achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) to position East Europe & Central Asia as one of Glovo’s top-performing regions.
  • Establishing best-in-class operational practices for our commercial teams.
  • Collaborating with local teams leads to foster talent and cultivate an exceptional team culture.

We're looking for someone who has a mix of the:

  • Operational excellence to get great work done
  • Negotiation and collaboration skills are needed to bring out the best from our partners and teams
  • Strategic, innovative and creative thinking that's required to develop outside-the-box solutions

THE JOURNEY

  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Develop and implement the long-term commercial strategy for top partners in the region.
    • Directly oversee multiple areas, including sales, partnerships, and monetization.
    • Analyze business and financial data to drive key decisions and create new business opportunities.
  • Team Management:
    • Drive, structure, analyze, and manage the daily operations and information flow with local commercial leaders.
    • Set goals, delegate tasks, and supervise the team’s performance to ensure alignment with commercial targets.
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams (marketing, operations, finance) to ensure swift and quality execution.
  • Partnership Development:
    • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in top restaurants/chains.
    • Provide visibility to main stakeholders, both locally and globally,  and follow up on next steps.
    • Foster a supportive environment for collaboration and growth within the team.
    • Develop strong relationships between local, regional and global teams

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE

Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience managing a high-performing commercial team of over 20 people, with a background in multiple countries and markets being a plus.
  • Proven experience negotiating large-scale contracts and building relationships with C-level executives.

Leadership & Business Acumen:

  • Demonstrated success in leading and motivating teams of 20+ individuals to achieve collective goals.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to understand and empathize with clients’ and partners' business models, challenges, and objectives.
  • Extensive experience working with partners from small enterprises to large corporations to align on strategic initiatives and foster mutual growth.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities, data-driven with robust commercial and analytical skills.
  • Strong project management skills, highly organized, and detail-oriented.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English.
  • Fluent in Russian will be a nice to have
