Job Title Medical Receptionist- Tampa GI
Job Description:
This full -time position is for a Medical Receptionist within the Gastroenterology department. Must be willing to travel between our offices in N. Tamp and Watergrass (Wesley Chapel). Front office check-in. Ability to multi-task. Fast paced, busy office.. Typical schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
*Medical office experience preferred*

Keys to Success in this Role:
Prior experience in medical office required responsibilities will include obtaining authorizations and verifying insurance.
The role is responsible for assisting patients and providers at the conclusion of the patient's visit. Experience in a medical office highly preferred.
Assist traffic at the front window
Complete patient check in processes
Assist providers and patients at the conclusion of the visit
Collect and process monies due
Process medication requests
Address tasks in a timely manner
Scan medical documentation into the records system
Answer phones and assist callers
Perform incidental duties as needed
Job Qualification:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Strong customer service orientation
Excellent telephone etiquette
Basic computer proficiency
Strong team player
Medical Office experience preferred
Physical and Mental Demands:
Normal physical ability; able to sit for long periods
Normal concentration and normal complexity of decision making
High level verbal and written communication skills
Above average ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Occupational Exposure:
Low risk exposure to bloodborne pathogens and chemical hazards
