This full time position is for a Medical Assistant in our Pulmonology office. The position works as a clinical liaison, scheduling patients, and assisting the provider with patient care. Must of attended and received a certificate from a MA program Ability to travel to both Zephyrhills and Land o Lakes offices.

Keys to Success in this Role:
Completes the start and end of day processes
Properly room patients
Confirms information required by provider is present (labs, hospital records, etc.)
Prepares patient for examination or treatment
Assists provider during examination and with treatment
Maintains medical equipment; ensures all equipment is calibrated, cleaned, sterilized and charged
Perform incidental duties as needed
Physical and Mental Demands:
Physical requirements
Able to stand or walk for long periods
Use of proper body mechanics
Normal concentration and normal complexity of decision making
High level verbal and written communication skills
Above average ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Occupational Exposure:
High risk exposure to bloodborne pathogens and chemical hazards
Job Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Completion of a Medical Assistant program REQUIRED
Strong customer service orientation
Excellent telephone etiquette
Strong team player
Basic computer proficiency
Previous experience as a Medical Assistant preferred
Candidates must be willing to travel to various locations as needed
