Position Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Associate Director/Director, Immunology to lead our autoimmune projects in the early discovery stage. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with a strong background in immunology, autoimmune diseases, and drug discovery. This individual will play a key role in driving research and development efforts to advance novel therapies for autoimmune disorders.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee Immunology-related activities for autoimmune projects in the early discovery phase
  • Develop and implement innovative research strategies to identify and validate drug targets for autoimmune diseases
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute preclinical studies, including in vitro and in vivo experiments
  • Manage a team of scientists and research associates, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to ensure project success
  • Stay current on the latest advancements in immunology and autoimmune research, and apply relevant knowledge to project development
  • Drive the development of novel immunotherapies and therapeutic modalities for autoimmune disorders through innovative research and scientific approaches

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Immunology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field with at least 5 years of industry experience in immunology research, with a focus on autoimmune diseases
  • Proven track record of leading early discovery projects in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
  • Strong expertise in immunological assays, cellular and molecular biology techniques, and drug target validation
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Prior experience managing a team of multiple scientists at varying levels and guiding research projects from concept to preclinical development
  • Strong publication record in immunology and autoimmune research, with a demonstrated impact in the field
