What this position is all about: In this role, you will partner with business team to understand the data and analytics challenges and needs of Cellarity. You will assist in defining, designing, and implementing enterprise solutions related to laboratory informatics, data management, reporting, data modeling, and data integration. You will work with the Laboratory Information Systems lead in providing a demand governance and support model to prioritize and deliver end-to-end solutions across various business functions.

What you would be responsible for:

  • Work closely with business subject matter experts to develop LIMS workflows proposals.
  • Contributes to the development of the functional strategy as a subject matter expert.
  • Anticipates internal and external business challenges and recommends creative solutions.
  • Develop user requirements and vendor/software selection criteria for enterprise software and technology solutions (Write SOP, User Guides, Training Material, Test Plans, Validation Rules doc).
  • Manage internal documentation related to implementation, support, and maintenance of laboratory informatics systems.
  • Support the LIMS/ELN environment.
  • Participate Test and Validation Scripts in execution.

What experience will you need:

  • Familiarity with Electronic Laboratory Notebooks and, or Laboratory Information Management Systems
  • Currently enrolled in Bachelor's degree / Master’s degree in computer science or bachelor’s / Master’s degree in chemistry or biology and significant work experience in the IT domain
  • Previous exposure or prior co-op experience in life sciences organizations is preferred.
  • Experience working with relational databases, comfortable writing SQL queries.
  • Familiarity with python scripting for data analysis and data parsing is nice to have.
  • Ability to understand the needs of the business and commitment to deliver the best user experience and adoption. 
  • Deep analytical skills and logical thinking to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, small, fast-paced team environment where results are achieved through influence and the incorporation of multiple points of view.
  • Familiarity with lab workflows, process and scientific applications is necessary.
  • Familiarity in developing ELN templates, workflows, protocols, custom fields, and associated report methods by following coding standards and best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence across multiple functions.
  • Strong business acumen, critical thinking, along with technical and problem-solving skills.
