Responsibilities
- Own the strategy & delivery of new products from discovery to commercialization by partnering closely with R&D, Computation, Commercial, and other teams
- Develop target product profiles for novel catalytic materials that maximize value creation and have a positive impact on the environment
- Deeply understand relevant customers’ needs
- Project manage programs to ensure timely delivery
- Manage relevant external relationships
- Collaborate with R&D and Computation to design and implement experimentation and modeling loops
- Become an expert in the commercial and R&D landscape of catalytic materials. Monitor and communicate advancements from the broader research community inside FL97
- Communicate progress across the company, including to the FL97 Leadership Team
- Sell the vision of your program in and outside of the company
Qualifications
- Experience with managing projects, leading teams (not necessarily direct reports), prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines
- Experience with experimental design, data acquisition, result interpretation, and implementation
- Able to create small, achievable units of work from large, complex, and ambiguous goals
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying technical information to any audience
- Relentlessly output-focused—driven by impact against our mission and program goals, not by doing tasks, owning decisions, or being in meetings
- High degree of comfort with ambiguity and able to adapt to changing teams and needs
- Able to influence without authority
- Highly collaborative and empathetic
- BS in Materials Science, Chemistry, or related field
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD in Materials Science, Chemistry, or related field or equivalent industry experience
- Experience in R&D of electrocatalytic systems
- Experience translating product candidates from discovery through scale-up and commercialization
- Experience with machine learning integration in experiment workflows
