The Role

FT Longitude, a high-growth company within the prestigious Financial Times Group, is at the forefront of thought leadership, with ambitious plans for expansion. Our innovative marketing programmes are pivotal to our success, driving our growth story by raising awareness and building our brand to capture new audiences.

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Marketing Manager to take ownership of our event marketing strategy, ensuring the successful planning, promotion, and execution of both in-person and virtual events.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with internal and external stakeholders, shaping high-impact events and content initiatives that resonate with our audience and reinforce our market leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the planning and execution of in-person seminars, roundtables, and virtual events, including logistics such as venue management, catering, and AV requirements.
  • Identify and engage with high-quality speakers, ensuring clear communication of event logistics, expectations, and promotional activities.
  • Develop and execute strategies to recruit delegates through targeted marketing and outreach, driving strong attendance.
  • Oversee all logistical aspects, ensuring smooth event operations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align marketing efforts with organisational goals and keep stakeholders informed.
  • Lead the creation of engaging, high-quality content pre- and post-event to nurture ongoing engagement and aid future delegate recruitment.
  • Identify and manage partnerships that expand our reach and visibility, focusing on delegate recruitment.
  • Monitor event and content performance, providing actionable insights for improvement.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in event planning and marketing, with a track record of managing both in-person and virtual events.
  • Strong content creation and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated success in speaker and delegate recruitment.
  • Experience managing paid content partnerships to expand event reach.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with teams and external stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with venue management, catering, and AV logistics.
  • Experience with event marketing tools and platforms (e.g., Livestorm, Eventbrite).
  • Strong understanding of B2B marketing in the context of events.
