Job Role and Responsibilities:

  • Perform manual testing of web-based applications to identify defects and ensure product quality.
  • Perform ETL Testing, inclusive of batch loading and real-time API testing.
  • Develop, document, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on software requirements and design specifications.
  • Collaborate closely with software developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand product requirements and provide feedback on design and functionality.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking tools, and work with development teams to resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Participate in the review and analysis of software requirements to ensure testability and identify potential risks.
  • Contribute to the improvement of the testing process and methodologies, including the adoption of automated testing tools and frameworks, Cypress, Postman, JMeter.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
  • Assist with production defect troubleshooting and post-deployment verification.
  • Proficiency using Agile software, such as JIRA, for Sprint collaboration and bug tracking.
  • Familiarity with Python, Cypress IO, JavaScript and SQL is a plus.
  • Proven experience in software quality assurance and testing, preferably in a manual testing role.
  • Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, techniques, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in writing test cases, including edge and negative use cases.
  • Ability to self-prioritize work with minimal supervision, collaborating with the agile team and product manager.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
