Role Summary
Druva is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated self-starter candidate who is passionate about understanding customer data protection, and governance needs and building cutting-edge data security products. This role is in the overall product management organization and will be focused on Druva’s portfolio of data governance and cyber-resilience products. At Druva a Product Manager is responsible for product planning and execution throughout the product life cycle. Product managers at Druva have an opportunity to build differentiated data protection products for demanding enterprise customers and have a large impact on the business of a pre-IPO startup in hypergrowth mode.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Hands-on experience in building security products for the cloud, virtualisation platforms like VMware, AHV, Hyper-V and Data Centers, with at least 3 years specifically in a PM role
- Good technical understanding of malware behavior, cyber kill chain, incident response and recovery process, forensic data collection, and disaster recovery. Direct hands-on experience in at least one of these areas will be preferred.
- Experience in competitive intelligence, customer engagement, and developing sales strategies.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior executives and technical stakeholders
- Ability to build strong consensus among engineering counterparts, and align on product strategy, direction, product quality goals, and metrics.
- Expertise working collaboratively with UX to best align user, business, and legal needs.
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to think outside the box
- Experience with complex infrastructure products, and large systems.
- Experience with data security, governance, compliance, risk management will be an advantage.
- Proven track record in managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle.
- Strong expertise in sprint planning and Agile methodologies.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth, and dynamic work environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Analyze market trends and perform competitive intelligence to guide the product roadmap. Contribute to product vision and strategic development processes.
- Stay on top of the latest trends and challenges in the cyber security & data security industry. Identify opportunities for Druva to solve these problems
- Participate in customer-facing activities including product pitches, demonstrations, and discussions with technical stakeholders. Act as the voice of the customer within the organization, translating customer needs into product strategies.
- Develop Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) and user stories to define new features, product enhancements and rollout strategies.
- Collaborate with engineering, marketing, sales, and support teams to ensure alignment and delivery of a unified product vision.
- Equip the sales team with the necessary training and tools to increase product knowledge and improve sales effectiveness. Develop materials and sessions for sales training.
- Work closely with the marketing team to develop clear and effective product messaging, contribute to blogs, and communicate product updates to the market.
- Define and refine the approach for the creation, modification, and adoption of our technologies by our customers.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent practical cyber security experience
- Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in the cyber security domain, especially in one of these areas - SOC, Incident Response, Solution Architect / Pre-sales for any EDR, XDR, EPP, DLP or similar enterprise security product, Technical Product Manager building enterprise security product
- Minimum 3 years of experience building and shipping technical products, doing customer discovery and GTM planning
