Job Summary 

DigiCert’s one of the fastest-growing security solutions companies in the world. We simplify PKI and SSL and provide identity, authentication, and encryption solutions for the web and the Internet of Things (IoT). We are searching for a talented Global Payroll and Accounting Manager.  The ideal candidate for this position is a highly motivated team player with excellent organizational, prioritization, and communication skills.

 

What you will do

  • Implement, maintain, and review payroll processing systems to ensure timely & accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions
  • Oversee the processing of bi-weekly/monthly payroll in a fast-paced environment using multiple payroll systems
  • Provide employees with information regarding paychecks and assist in resolving discrepancies/questions in regard to employee pay
  • Ensure that the appropriate controls and procedures are in-place and being followed regarding payroll processing in order to ensure they are effective and efficient processes
  • Work closely with Human Resources on programs such as benefits administration, personnel audits, 401(k) process, testing, and reporting, and other business reporting
  • Coordinate timely and accurate transmission/receipt of payroll files and records to third-party payroll or benefit vendors and ensure payments made timely
  • Maintain familiarity with current tax regulations and procedures
  • Work with managers across all departments to ensure payroll is performed correctly
  • Ensure confidentiality is maintained: ensure department files are locked as appropriate, discuss employee issues only with authorized personnel, and exercise discretion in conversations in open areas
  • Assist with special projects, such as research for audit support, as requested
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices
  • Support the payroll accounting manager and team with any information required to ensure accurate & timely accounting records and financial reporting are maintained
  • Facilitate audits by providing records and documentation to auditors
  • Lead a team of payroll specialists by managing performance, setting goals, and maintaining strong employee relationships
  • Perform and/or manage ad-hoc projects, as requested

 

What you will have 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field required
  • 4+ years in Payroll Administration
  • Knowledge of general payroll practices, IRS and multi-State regulations
  • Excellent payroll administration skills with strong attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Customer service-oriented individual with strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills including the ability to interact effectively and independently with senior management across the organization
  • Adaptable to change

 

Nice to have

  • Strong system skills for various payroll systems, including ADP or Streamline
  • Proficient in Excel
