About the Position
Dexis is seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator to provide logistic support throughout the data collection period for an upcoming short-term evaluation with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) West Africa Regional Mission.
This is a short-term position expected to start in mid-April 2024 and conclude at the end of June 2024. This consultancy requires the ability to work in Benin and travel throughout the country. The estimated total level of effort 20 days.
Dexis Consulting Group (Dexis) is conducting a final performance evaluation of the Sustainable Shea Initiative (SSI) under United States Agency for International Development (USAID)’s Technical Assistance Project for Economic Growth (TAP EG) Program on behalf of the TAP-EG Prime Contractor International Development Group (IDG).
The Logistics Coordinator will provide logistical support to the Sustainable Shea Initiative (SSI) Final Performance Evaluation. Logistical support may include arranging transportation, including domestic flights, vehicle rental, etc., ensuring proper materials and equipment are in place ahead of data collection, coordinating venue rentals and accommodations, liaising with the evaluation team and vendors to ensure data collection runs smoothly, interview scheduling and note taking as well as any other logistical needs.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate domestic flights/ground travel for the evaluation team
- Obtain quotes and work with vendors on various procurements.
- Maintain open lines of communication with the evaluation team and Dexis.
- Manage the data collection schedule and contact logs.
- Print data collection tools and documents ahead of start of data collection
- Participate in interview note taking.
- Identify possible complications as early as possible and work with Dexis to proactively identify solutions
- Other related tasks, as they arise
Qualifications
- Currently resides in Benin and ability to work in Benin
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Excellent communication skills in English and French.
- Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated experience with managing in-country data collection and travel logistics (interview scheduling, arranging travel) and maintaining organized files.
- At least one or more years supporting data collection (key informant interviews, focus groups, note taking, scheduling).
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with teams virtually and in person.
Preferred Qualifications
- Three years of experience in evaluation logistics and administration/operations or a related area.
- Knowledge of USAID rules, regulations, and procedures preferred.
- Familiarity with the shea industry
- Previous experience using Office 365
