About the Position 

Dexis seeks a Grants Assistant to support the five-year USAID/Mali Sariya Bato program. The period of performance of the project is February 14, 2024 to February 13, 2029. This is a national full-time position based in Bamako, Mali. 

Responsibilities 

  • Organize and support the grants process – from grant applications to grant closeout in accordance with USAID rules and regulations.  
  • Support the coordination of grant activities (events, workshops, transportation, food, lodging).  
  • Coordinate with grantees to ensure that monitoring and evaluation data is properly captured. 
  • Label and maintain complete electronic and hard copy files; ensure grant file checklists are populated. 
  • Support the Procurement Specialist in documenting procurement process and maintain accurate physical and electronic documentation and requisite authorizations in accordance with Dexis and USAID rules and regulations. 
  • Travel as required to activity locations to inspect equipment at grantee sites and report on grant progress. 
  • Support regular and ad hoc reporting as requested. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Reporting 

The Grants Assistant reports to the Director of Finance and Operations. 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent university degree in a relevant field.  
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience supporting grant agreements.  
  • Demonstrated experience in administrative or logistical support role.  
  • Ability to ensure compliance with USAID and Dexis policies, procedures, and regulations. 
  • Ability to prioritize and manage a high-volume workload in a fast-paced work environment. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  
  • Experience living and working in Mali.  
  • Fluency in spoken and written English and French. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with USAID projects.

Qualifications   

  • Licence ou diplôme universitaire équivalent dans un domaine pertinent.  
  • Au moins 3 ans d'expérience dans le soutien des subventions.  
  • Expérience dans des rôles administratifs et de soutien logistique.  
  • Capacité à assurer le respect des politiques, procédures et réglementations de USAID et de Dexis.   
  • Capacité à prioriser et à gérer une charge de travail élevée dans un environnement de travail au rythme rapide. 
  • Excellentes compétences en communication et relation interpersonnelles. 
  • Expérience de vie et de travail au Mali. 
  • Maîtrise de l'anglais et du français écrits et oraux.  

Qualifications préférées 

  • Expérience avec les projets USAID.
