We are hiring two Lead Engineers that will be central to our ad tech ecosystem, each focusing on distinct areas: Ad Product and Ad Tech. While the two roles share a focus on building effective and scalable ad solutions, each has unique responsibilities to drive success in its specific domain.

Ad Product Lead Engineer :

As the Lead Engineer for Ad Product, you will lead a team focused on developing and maintaining a suite of ad products that enhance revenue growth and deliver value to our advertisers. This team will create custom and standard ad solutions, optimize advertiser offers, and manage ad data solutions, with the goal of increasing flexibility and impact in our ad products. This role is ideal for a leader passionate about ad product innovation and who has the technical expertise to guide a team of skilled engineers to deliver robust, scalable ad solutions.

Ad Tech Lead Engineer:

As the Lead Engineer for Ad Tech, you will focus on enhancing and scaling our ad server infrastructure, leading a team to implement critical ad management tools, bulk operation features, and advanced targeting capabilities. This team collaborates closely with stakeholders across Sales, AdOps, Media Ops, and Data Science, delivering solutions that ensure our advertising operations are optimized, efficient, and scalable. This role is suited to a technical leader who has a strong background in ad trafficking workflows and ad server architecture and is driven to create seamless ad tech solutions.

Our tech stack includes AWS, PHP, Python, Node.js, Javascript, MySQL.

The salary range for this role is  $150,000-$190,000. Pay offered may vary within the posted range based on a number of factors including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

 

WHAT YOU’LL TACKLE

Ad Product Lead Engineer:

  • Ad Product Development: Lead the team in creating and maintaining ad products that drive sales and revenue, including custom ad creatives and API feed distribution.
  • Sales Solutions: Design flexible ad features and payout types to expand business opportunities while ensuring technical feasibility across client needs.
  • Data Solutions: Oversee the development and maintenance of data solutions that support advertiser operations, including tracking and onboarding processes.

Ad Tech Lead Engineer:

  • Ad Server Scalability: Enhance ad server scalability, consolidate ad assets, organize media placements, and develop ad management tools.
  • Feature Development: Implement ad templates and tools for bulk operations, advanced targeting, scheduling, and ensure robust back-end tracking.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, AdOps, Media Ops, and Data Science teams to deliver solutions that align with operational and business objectives.

Ad Product Lead Engineer:

  • Native Ad Solutions: Innovate with native ad solutions that enhance user engagement and impact.
  • Flexible Creative Ad Units: Design flexible ad units that are high-performing and align with revenue and engagement goals.
  • Placement & Flow Optimization: Enhance user flows and introduce new ad placements to improve ad visibility and interaction.
  • Modernization of Monetization Workflows: Lead the next evolution of how we scale our ad solutions across verticals.

Ad Tech Lead Engineer:

  • Ad Asset & Media Placement Consolidation: Streamline ad asset management and media placements for greater efficiency.
  • Advanced Ad Management Tools: Improve ad management capabilities, including bulk operations, advanced targeting, and scheduling.
  • Operational Dashboards: Develop dashboards for the AdOps team to effectively track and manage ad performance.
  • Robust Back-End Tracking: Ensure reliable back-end tracking for ad metrics to improve data accuracy and performance insights.

As a leader, you’ll be accountable for driving technical excellence and continuous improvement in your respective team, ensuring high-quality, scalable ad solutions that align with our business objectives.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • 6-8+ years in ad tech or digital advertising, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • 1-2+ years of hands-on Python experience (e.g., Flask, Django, Pandas).
  • Strong background in ad server architecture, data tracking, ad performance metrics, and data pipeline management.
  • (For Ad Product) Experience with native advertising, ad creative flexibility, and ad data tracking.
  • (For Ad Tech) Background in ad trafficking workflows, ad asset management, performance tracking, and API integrations for ad servers.
  • Proven ability to prioritize projects and deliver results on time, even in fast-paced environments.
  • A passion for technical excellence while balancing time-to-market considerations.
  • Solutions-oriented mindset, with the ability to overcome obstacles efficiently.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, promoting collaboration and shared success within teams.
  • A commitment to Agile processes and methodologies, with the ability to manage roadmaps, sprints, and deployments.
  • A passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, and mentoring other engineering community members, occasionally coding or evaluating code.
  • History of instilling a culture of continuous improvement in a team’s code, architecture, and processes.
